NeonCV offers three powerful ways to create and manage your CV:

CV Generator (Generate by AI): Enter a job description and let the AI instantly generate a complete, tailored CV.
Text Job Profile: Create a simple markdown-based profile that structures your experience and skills cleanly.
CV Designer (Visual Job Profile): A fully feature-loaded visual editor to customize styling, layout, and fine-tune your CV manually. See the CV Designer for more details.

Workflow (Generator)

Enter a job description (or target role) on the home page.
Optionally select a job profile to tailor content.
Configure advanced parameters: design style, length, language, paper size, match mode, and custom directives.
Click Generate to produce a CV.
Review the generated PDF preview.
Use the AI Edit prompt or direct drag-and-drop layout builder in the CV Designer to customize the layout.
Re-generate and refine until satisfied.
Download the final PDF.

(Note: For advanced layout management, drag-and-drop, and real-time page break adjustments, use the CV Designer.)

Advanced Parameters & Custom Directives

Length: Single page or two pages.
Language: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch.
Paper Size: A4, Letter, or custom page dimensions.
Match Mode: Controls how strongly the AI tailors content to the job description.
Custom Directives: Enter custom, high-priority system instructions to guide the AI formatting and generation (e.g., "focus heavily on technical achievements", "ensure layout remains extremely professional").

The AI determines sections based on the job description and job profile. Common sections include Professional Summary, Work Experience, Education, Skills, Certifications, Languages, Projects. You can toggle the profile photo visibility in the header block using the Show Profile Photo setting.

CV Designer (Visual Job Profile)

The CV Designer is a fully feature-loaded visual editor that allows you to customize styling, layout, and fine-tune your CV manually.

Section Rearranging & Layout (Drag and Drop)

You can easily reorganize your resume layout directly on the canvas using drag-and-drop handles. Grab any section header and drag it to a new location or between columns to reorganize instantly.

Dynamic Page Breaks & Layout Indicators

The visual canvas features dynamic page-break indicators, showing exactly where a page split will occur in the rendered PDF. This allows you to adjust font sizes, block gaps, or spacing in real time to ensure your content fits perfectly.

Customizing Design Elements

Using the designer, you can control:

Typography: Select fonts from modern options like Inter, Roboto, or Outfit.
Colors: Adjust accents and theme colors to match your brand or preferences.
Spacing: Fine-tune margins, paddings, and section gaps.
