NeonCV provides powerful visual customisation tools. You can choose from gorgeous preset templates or fine-tune every aspect of your CV design using the sidebar editor.

Template Presets

Apply a designed layout preset with curated color schemes and typography:

Standard Professional – Balanced, single-column sky blue layout optimized for engineering/product roles.
Obsidian Engineer – Sleek, high-contrast charcoal dark theme with emerald accents and a modern terminal-style layout.
Aesthetic Editorial – Beautiful typography-focused layout with a warm blush tone, Polaroid hobbies, and a structured right sidebar.
Modern Tech Lead – Authoritative layout with a solid indigo banner and split columns.
Creative Pastel – Playful pink design with round accents, gallery displays, and custom skill grids.

Theme & Style Customisation

Use the editor sidebar tabs to design your own style:

1. Theme Backgrounds & Colors

Color Theme Modes: Choose from predefined themes: Light, Dark, Vintage (sepia), Pastel, Ocean, Forest, Blush, and Charcoal.
Custom Background overrides: Set custom background colors or import an image URL (with adjustable opacity and tile options).
Background Patterns: Layer modern SVG background textures like Dots, Grid, Diagonal Lines, Chevron, Hexagon, or Circuit with custom coloring and opacity.
Accent Theme Palette: Quickly apply curated color highlights such as Teal, Rose, Indigo, Emerald, Amber, Violet, Fuchsia, and Slate.

2. Layout & Columns

Layout Modes: Single Column, Split Left (narrow sidebar on the left), or Split Right (narrow sidebar on the right).
Column Widths: Adjust the exact width ratio of split-column layouts.
Brick-Level Alignment: Move individual blocks between the left column, right column, or span full width.

3. Typography & Spacing

Font Families: Pair headings and body text using Inter, Outfit, Lora (Serif), or Public Sans.
Typography Scale: Adjust font size scale, line height, and letter-spacing for readability.
Spacing Options: Adjust block gaps, sheet padding, and border radius.

4. Page Setup & Formatting

Page Dimensions: Standard A4 or Letter sizes, or enter custom page width and height in millimeters.
Display Overlays: Toggle grid lines, rulers, page numbers, and custom footer text.

Mobile Preview

Toggle between desktop and mobile previews in the editor to see how your layout adjustments respond across screen widths.

Best Practice

Preview each style by generating a short test CV. Pick the one that best matches the industry or role you are targeting.

You can switch design presets or modify styling elements at any point. Your resume content and data are preserved automatically across layouts.
